Apparently bic pens are the best…

I was working at the schools the other day and some students and I were talking about art and they asked me to draw them something. But it being a long week, and some procrastination on my part (damn you Factorio), it was the night before and the drawing had not materialized. Now why I decided to do something different is beautiful in its irrationality. As a digital artist, you get used to the undo button and come to perseverate greatly on the nature of perfection is the proper way to communicate my rationale. But in moment it came as “GO FAST, IGNORE MISTAKES, CRANK THE METAL, BLESSED IS THE PEN”, and as works I think they look rather interesting and am pleased with the results.

Art is a fight with oneself, a phrase conveyed to me repeatedly by one of my teachers, and this is what gives the process of art its glorious end. But sometimes acquiescing on that impulse and just letting it flow is a better approach for there are no bad ideas when there is no judgement. Blessed is the pen because is permanence promotes problem solving to unexpected ends.

Or to promote happy accidents - arts greatest tool.
